"H, are you excited that Abi is now a Dr.?"
"No."
"No? but aren't you excited that your father is a Dr.?" Amused, I continued eating my lunch while H indignantly responded with another 'No'.
"But why not?" I asked, hiding a smile.
"He's not a doctor Dr.!"
"But, your father is a Dr.!" I said again, grinning at his indignant expression.
"Then you can ask Kak N, A, W, M how they feel too," he said, which left me gaping in surprise.
Kak N, A, W, and M are definitely children of Drs; Dr. M & N of USM.
It didnt even occur to me that H could make that connection and bring it into the conversation for use as comparison. I was too blown away to keep pestering him about it.
Later on, I asked him,
"H, how'd you get to be so smart?"
"I listen to people when they're talking," he replied.
"You mean you eavesdrop!" I said, laughing.
"Yeah, and I also look at the computer when you're reading or writing your email."
Uh oh!
