Watching the baby

Baby Z and I went home on Sunday. I was excited for the kids. They had been waiting for this baby for quite some time. They were even skeptical over whether there was going to be a baby, after what happened with Julaybib. So the homecoming was pretty special, alhamdulillah a contrast from my homecoming with Julaybib, which was also around noon.

Hubby, my mother, S and H went to the organic store, so it was just N, me and Baby Z at home. I was exhausted, as I didn't have enough sleep the night before as Baby Z cried and only let me sleep for about one hour total.

N was sitting on our bed, looking at Baby Z. She seemed fascinated by him. As I drifted off to sleep, I told her,

"Just watch him, ok."

A few hours later, hubby came back.

"N, what're you doing? Let Ummi rest. Come," hubby whispered to her.

"But ummi said to look at the baby," she replied.

Apparently, she had spent the hours just sitting there and literally watching him sleep, never taking her eyes off him.

That was April 22. After a few weeks, everytime I wake up in the morning, it was her big eyes, long hair that hovers over me. She made it her routine to pop in my room first thing in the morning to look at Baby Z.

Safe to say, they are all in love with Baby Z.

I just happened to wander onto your blog, not by accident, as truly all things happen with Allah's will.

assalamualaikum juli,
nadiah likes to visit your blog from time to time and I thought I just take a little peek tonight - your sharing touch my heart.
Happy to hear the girls, and H is bonding well with the baby for now. H might decide that baby Z is not so fragile after all and might want to start his own tutorial for 'karate' or the like haha... that's what muaz did to baby afif every time he came from school loooooooong time ago. For now, our doa for your family and our family too for good here and hereafter, insyAllah.
