Back to School

Yesterday was OHVA's first day of school but I was mostly not fully functioning since we got back from Chicago around 4 am the same day. I had dreaded this coming school year, and sure enough there was a lot of catching up I had to do yesterday, what with two separate teachers for S and N and H, forms to sign and mail, Parent Handbook to read, things to download and what nots. Unfortunately I still do not have a well laid out plan.

I'm fearful of well laid out plans now because I always end up following them in the beginning of the school year but abandoning them towards the end. This time, I might as well not torture myself and just go with the flow. I have a lot of personality tweaking to do.

H is the monitor today. I still don't have the house as spic and span as I would like it to be, but you have to give something up. Can't have it all, though it truly kills me to give that up. I can't wait to move out of this apartment actually.

Alhamdulillah, S is going to be in a classroom for language arts and math once a week every week. I'll have to call the sister about arabic, send H to the masjid for Quran memorization and since the kids have already Surah Yusuf ingrained in their minds, I might as well plant it in them to the end.

Well, back to work.
