"N! N!" yelled S from upstairs.
I was in the kitchen slicing the green beans for dinner.
"If you wanna play outside then come and help me clean up!" she continued.
Silence, which is very expected of N.
I continued slicing, anticipating what will happen next.
"N! Didn't you hear me?! I said, if you want to play outside help me clean up!"
No response.
"Deaf, deaf, deaf, deaf, deaf, deaf!" S stomped back up the stairs muttering to herself.
Meanwhile, N played outside, oblivious to her sister's curses upon her.
I couldn't help smiling, but after a while I called S.
"Call N outside, and tell Abi," I said.
It's not right that S has to bear all the burden of being the big sister. N, with her personality, seems to irk everyone such that Hubby suggested we give her silent treatment for three days.
I don't think it would matter to her, but maybe we should give it a shot?
