Going Bananas!

Ever since the elimination diet, I've been forced to make my own snacks in order to preserve my sanity. Trust me, between craving things I can't eat and watching hubby and kids munch chocolate and slurp ice cream, I am this much from going bananas!

However, seeing that homeschooling takes up a lot of mental power and kitchen and housekeeping time, it just makes it much more difficult for me to do these extra 'cooking' in the kitchen, not to mention the high maintenance babe, so I had to employ S to do some frying for me.

After a while, I left S by herself to do the frying, after telling her to drop small blobs of the banana-coconut milk-flour batter in the hot oil. I went upstairs to put Baby Z to sleep, and when I came down, as I looked into the container of the done 'Jemput-Jemput', I noticed that S had made big blobs anyway. Well, for a ten year-old and a first time Jemput-Jemput maker, she did very good!

Jemput-jemput (banana fritters), or what my pseudo-Malay kids call, "Jumput-jumput."
