Baby Z didn't roll over by his 6 month check up. I was worried.
"Oh, his muscle tone is great, so no need to worry," explained the doctor."
"Enjoy this immobility because once they start moving, they never stop," he added.
Baby Z started rolling over just recently, while we were praying. Weirdly enough, it seems that he only does it when we were in sujud, so that by the time we got up, he was on his tummy. Everytime after we gave salam, the kids would shout,
"He rolled over! He rolled over!"
Today, he mastered yet another feat; sitting unsupported. For quite some time, he sat quietly, and fingered the book the kids had checked out of the library for him, cheeks drooping, baby drool dangling, and bottom lip jowling.
H had taught himself to climb down the stairs backwards even before he started walking. I wonder what Baby Z will do now that he has apparently begun to embark on the mobility journey.
